About Me

Welcome to the home page of Ed Balogh and thanks for visiting! Feel free to navigate through this site if you'd like to learn more about me, a database developer (and web development/game development hobbiest) who just took a job in the Charleston, SC area after living in the central Arkansas area for over 30 years.

By taking a look at the header of this page, you can get a quick, but pretty accurate, idea of what I like. On the left is a symbol of my family. I have a wife, Kelly, who married me almost 8 years ago to the day. We have 2 boys: Jake, age 5, and Josh, age 3. My family is very important to me and is the reason I do everything I do.

On the right side, there are symbols of some of the things I like to do when I've got some free time. Golf is something that I love to do but rarely get the chance. Playing video games (preferably XBOX 360 or Nintendo Wii) is a hobby that I do get to spend some time on weekly. Finally, that block of binary codes represents my developer hobby (or addiction if you as my wife). To read more about my hobbies, go here.

This website was started as a final project for my Introduction to Web Development at Kaplan University and as a requirement, my resume is accessible from this site. Please note that I am happily employed as a database developer with Automated Trading Desk and am not looking to change jobs.
